Calamine, Oatmeal &Honey
Calamine has long been used to relieve irritation from minor skin issues like hives or bug bites. It also works well to dry out rashes caused from poisonous plants. Besides calamine powder, I've added colloidal oatmeal and honey to the already great ingredients of olive oil, goat milk, cocoa butter, castor oil, rice bran oil, and tussah silk. The essential oils of rosemary, lavender, and eucalyptus complete the soap.
Starting ingredients: olive oil, coconut oil, rice bran oil, sodium hydroxide, water, goat milk, cocoa butter, castor oil, colloidal oatmeal, calamine, honey, essential oils, and tussah silk.
The final product, after saponification, consists of saponified oils of olive, coconut, rice bran, and castor; cocoa butter, glycerin, goats' milk, water, colloidal oatmeal, calamine, honey, 100% pure essential oils, and tussah silk
To say these goat milk bars are great for sensitive skin would be an understatement! Made with colloidal oatmeal, honey, and calamine mean these bars will be your dry, itchy, bug-bitten summer skin favorite! Just for something different, they're topped with soap curls.
To increase the lifespan of your handcrafted bar, please allow it to dry between uses and not sit in water. It's packed with beneficial moisturizers that will be lost in a puddle of water.
